Adjustment

Using about 87% for CLTC → WLTP. Adjustments differ by car and driving conditions.

Assumptions and limits

Based on published comparisons across test procedures. This is a planning estimate, not a certified result for a particular vehicle.

How to calculate

Estimate a rough comparison between published EV driving-cycle ranges.

Scenario distance in kilometres = reported range × input unit factor × selected adjustment percentage ÷ 100. Typical mode uses benchmark ratios relative to WLTP: CLTC 115%, NEDC 125%, WLTP/WLTC 100% and EPA 83%. Divide the selected comparison benchmark by the reported benchmark; these are scenario assumptions, not a certification or universally valid conversion.

Worked example

Reported range: 700; Input range unit: 1; Reported test standard: CLTC; Comparison standard: WLTP; Manual adjustment (%): 86.95652173913044.

Estimated range in KM: 608.7 km; Estimated range in miles: 378.23 miles.

Assumptions and limits

Estimate a rough comparison between published EV driving-cycle ranges. Typical ratios are indicative: ICCT uses 1.15 for CLTC-to-WLTP benchmarking; a European Commission analysis estimated roughly 80% NEDC-to-WLTP for battery-electric vehicles; a vehicle sample found median EPA/WLTP near 0.83. Differences vary by model, test procedure and conditions. Select Manual adjustment to enter a vehicle-specific percentage.

Frequently asked questions

Is a driving-cycle comparison a prediction of my real range?

No. Published test cycles use different conditions. The selected ratio is an illustrative benchmark, while speed, weather, tires and terrain can substantially change a trip.
